2004 – Snydersville Speedway

     Kid Karts - 2nd Place

Clint started his racing career in 2004, at 7 years old, in a 50cc Coyote Kid Kart.  He won his very first race and went on to win 4 Feature events that season.  Although he did not race every week, he finished 2nd in the points at Snydersville.

Clint also raced at Oreville Raceway twice and finished in 2nd place both times. Oreville is a paved road course with hills and hair-pin turns which was quite a switch from the flat oval dirt track he was used to.  He enjoyed the challenge!

2005 – Snydersville Speedway Kid Kart Champion

Clint was very successful in his second season of competition.  His 12 Feature wins lead him to his very first championship.

Clint also competed at Shellhammer Speedway this season and won the feature event his first time at the track.  Shellhammer is a banked oval track which again was a welcome challenge from the flat oval track of Snydersville.

2006 – Snydersville Raceway

Junior Sportsman 1 Champion

Clint progressed to the Junior Sportsman 1, class at 9 years old.  He made the transition seamlessly by winning 16 Feature events which resulted in his 2nd championship.

Clint also competed at Shellhammer Speedway twice this season to gain more experience on the banked track.  Although most of his competitors were 10 years old, his 2nd and 3rd place finishes were impressive.

2007 – Shellhammer Raceway

Junior Sportsman II Light Champion &

Junior Sportsman II Heavy Champion

Miller Motorsports decided to compete at Shellhammer Speedway this season.  Because of his championship the previous year, Clint was allowed to move up to the Jr. Sportsman 2 (10-to-12 year old) class at 10 years old.  (Every competitor in this class except for one was 12 years old.)  Clint competed in both the Light and Heavy classes winning a total of 18 Feature events and the championships in both classes.

Clint was also a member of the Checkered Flag Fan Club and received a championship award at their banquet in Kutztown, PA.  This Club acknowledges champions from many different types/classes of racing (not just go-karts) at a variety of east coast race tracks.  It was an honor to receive the award among the top drivers in Pennsylvania.

Additionally, Clint received the Jack Furlong Academic Award from Shellhammer Speedway at their awards banquet.

2007 – Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series

2 Junior Sportsman II Light Wins &

1 Junior Sportsman II Heavy Win

To experience a variety of track types and competition, Clint also competed in the Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series.  The PDKS is a national World Karting Association (WKA) sanctioned kart club.  These events draw competition from many east coast states, and even Canada, as the points transfer toward the driver’s national series.  This year the series ran six races at four different tracks throughout the state.  (Every race occurred on Sunday mornings after racing at Shellhammer’s the night before.)

Again, almost every competitor was 12 years old and had raced at least one prior season in the series.  Despite the experience level of the competition, Clint’s talents earned him 3 Feature wins and a 4th place in the Light and 5th place in the Heavy points.

2008 – Shellhammer Raceway

Junior Sportsman II Light Champion &

Junior Sportsman II Heavy Champion

Clint achieved championships number 5 and 6 this year after completing another successful season at Shellhammer Speedway.  He won 8 feature events in the light class and 9 feature events in the heavy class.

2008 – Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series

Clint also competed in the both the light and heavy classes in the PDKS again this year which held events at Shellhammer Speedway, Shippensburg Speedway, Selinsgrove Speedway, and Greenwood Valley Action Track.  He finished 6th in the points out of 21 karts in the light class and 11th out of 19 karts in the heavy class.

2009 - A Year of Transition

After five years of dominating on the go kart circuit, Clint was looking for more competition.  So, Miller Motorsports expanded it’s vision and purchased a Tobias Slingshot.  We ran the Junior class a few times at Borgers and Shellhammer Speedways.  As a result of technical difficulties with the single barrel carburetor, unfortunately we were not as competitive as we would like to have been.

2009 – Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series

In our final year of competition in the PDKS Series, Clint was disappointed that we did not end it with a championship.  Again we ran both the Jr. Sportsman II Light and Heavy classes.  Despite having trouble with our brand new engine the first half of the season, we did manage to salvage 6th place, out of 27, in the Light and a 7th place, out of 25, in the Heavy points for the season.
